Cato Foods is a mission-driven food processing social enterprise transforming agriculture into measurable nutrition impact. Established in 2014, we exist to combat malnutrition and hidden hunger across Nigeria particularly among women, children under five, and low-income communities through scalable, market-based solutions. We are pioneers in the commercial processing of biofortified Vitamin A cassava in Nigeria, We converting nutrient-enriched staple crops (Cassava, Maize and Orange fleshed sweet potato) into safe, affordable, and accessible food products. By leveraging food technology and innovation systems, we deliver essential micronutrients through everyday diets creating a cost-effective pathway to improved public health outcomes. Our vertically integrated model strengthens the entire cassava value chain. With an installed processing capacity of 30 metric tons per day, we aggregate from smallholder farmers especially rural women and youth providing structured market access, technical support, and income opportunities. This model simultaneously improves farmer livelihoods, drives rural economic inclusion, and ensures consistent raw material supply for scale. Cato Foods operates at the intersection of agriculture, nutrition, and inclusive enterprise.
